Firewall, begone!

Hey all. I recently had some problems getting on the site because of my firewall. Well, I just trashed that firewall, got a ton of spyware, malware, and trojans, but then got a new firewall that lets me view the site, among others. Anything for a good roleplay, eh?

After all this time having a pearl and doing virtually nothing with it, I apologize and I really really look forward to playing with you guys soon!

I hope you didn't get any sort of viruses or trojans from this site. Unfortunately I can't really do anything about the ads (This is a free forum after all.) unless I pay cash out of pocket to do so.

#1 key to staying safe on the internet- Use Firefox.

Seriously, install firefox, and get the ad block and no script plug-ins and it will massively improve how well you avoid internet bad stuff. No script may seem like a pain to use at first but it really helps keep things out of your PC.

I use Firefox with the AdBlock Plus, NoScript, and FlashBlock plugins. And for the brief times I need to use IE I use the IE tab plugin for Firefox. Overall this keeps me safe and allows me to choose which sites I allow flash, java, or other functions to run on. I browse a very small handful of sites so I really don't have to approve certain sites or functions that often.

Just an update, this is the last day for the forums. If you haven't backed up your stuff yet do it now. I will be closing the forums probably around 5PM PDT today, that is within 13 hours of this notice. I wasn't sure how at first but I've finally figured out how to enable attachments for postings! So now if you have any DAT files you wish to share or other stuff you can. But there are a few rules...
